Big week for Wimmera tennis
It was an exciting first week back for Central Wimmera junior tennis players as they got back into the swing of the last half of the season.

IT was an exciting first week back for Central Wimmera junior tennis players as they got back into the swing of the last half of the season.
Senior tennis saw a mixed bag of results with some big wins and close contests, particularly in Pennant.
Horsham Lawn and Drung South Orange fought out a close contest at Horsham Lawn in Pennant.
Horsham Lawn jumped out to an early lead after the first four sets to set up a three to one lead with Hayley Thomas being the only Drung winner.
The next round of matches saw Lawn consolidate their lead to six sets to two with the highlight being two tie-breakers which were split evenly between the teams.
The final four sets were shared two each to give Lawn an eight sets to four victory overall with the highlight being Dylan Emmerson singles win eight to zero.
Three set winners for the day were Graeme Wood, Stuart McRae and Cherie Wood.
Also featured at Horsham Lawn was the A Grade Horsham Lawn derby where O’Connor faced off against Bardell at their home ground.
